Motivation to Work Out

In a given week i do an intense workout anywhere from 2 to 4 times. It always comes down to 2 things: one, how motivated am i that week, and those particular days i planned for my routine. two, can i find the actual time to do them on those days. Sometimes we just get busy.   If being to busy is you excuse, than you don't have enough motivation. Although, you can use it once in a while, it can't be the sole reason you don't workout. If you want to loose weight, get stronger, faster, or look and feel better, ENOUGH, then you will find a way. But there are things you can do to help you find the way a little easier.
Personally i look in the mirror then i watch power lifting videos. 9 times out of 10, i'll hit the weights.
Here are a list of my 10 biggest motivations, and maybe you'll find one yourself:
   - Find a quote that hits home. it's not hard to think of quotes we hear all the time, and some are really motivational. Just search around, maybe read a poem, or look up movie quotes. You'll be surprised where you can find the right words to get you on your way.
   - The post workout zen. Its a fact after a workout people become more focused, and calmer. It's one of the only ways you can release the build up of stress hormones. You literally have to sweat it out; but when it's done, it's a wonderful feeling.
   - Grab a workout buddy. Nowhere does it say working out should be boring, or sucky. If you are not enjoying your time working out, then you are not doing what you should be. It needs to be something that makes you yearn for it when you are not doing it. Sometimes a little company does the trick. My best workouts are when my best friend is present.
   - Picture yourself. Think of the differences it can make. You don't have to look like Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock. But you can look great, and improving on your look will gather compliments, which we all like.
   - Read about it. Picking up a fitness magazine might do the trick. They have full workouts, new exercises, and tons of good looking people.
   - Avoid the self loathing. If you want to workout and then don't, you sometimes get in the downward spiral about feeling terrible for not working out. it's like skipping work, or school. Why did you do it? you don't have a good reason so you sit there and feel bad. So do it! even if you just hit the floor for 5 minutes and do some pushups and crunches, you'll feel much better about yourself, and it might just get you in the mood ;-)
   - Goals. everyone loves hitting goals, so make tons of workout and lifting goals. The more you get the better you feel. Few feelings are as good as crossing off a goal from a list. So make many, so you can do it all the time!
   - Make it public. now you don't have to make a weekly banner at the mall about your waist size or bench press. But blogging about it on a site you are a part of, or joining a body building forum, just might be enough to keep you going, and you'll again be surprised how many people will join in!
   - You're not alone. Never forget that you are not the only person struggling with lack of motivation in this area. Get to it, and spread the word. The more you do the better you just may feel.

I enjoy working out. Once you know what you have to

I agree, dear. If I didn't have my weights class attendance policy (each day you miss means 4% deduction on your grade) or Meredith to go with me, I would never have gone to work out at 7:45 in the morning. But it's true, I just feel better about myself, both physically and emotionally, after working out.
