Working out is hard. Few people push past the pain, and even fewer go back for more, and more, and more. Here are a few things that have been accomplished:
A guy in Portland Oregon skipped rope.... sounds interesting, shit i skip rope sometimes. My best is about 300 skips before my legs are cooked and my lungs shut down... this guy made 150,000 consecutive rope skips!!!
In April of 1978 a man decided to swim down river. Not just any river, but the Missouri River! He swam from Sioux City, IA to Omaha, NE!!! And the guy did it while handcuffed!!!
Ever been skiing? Well one guy decided he'd do some cross country skiing in Minnesota one year, and he went 300 miles! Who the hell does that?
March 17th, 1982.... A man in Everette Washington decided to walk up hill 4 miles for his 35th birthday...ok fine...and he did it while carrying 310 pounds!
Ever gone for a long run? How long do you think you could run in a 24 hour time limit? 50?.... 60 miles?... How about in December in Iowa?... 30?...haha... well one guy ran 120 miles in those very conditions!
I dove 15 feet off the high dive in college pool once...it hurt... Another time i jumped feet first from 30 feet into a lake...it hurt... well in 1980 in the San Diego Sports Arena, a man dove 30 feet into 11.2 inches of water for the Guiness world record!
There are places i like to swim and places i don't...then there are places i just wouldn't. 2 of those places are the English Channel and the Ohio River from Aurora Indiana and Louisville Kentucky....Well one guy did! Shit, he even one upped the competitors that where crazy enough to try, and he did them both handcuffed! In fact if you didn't know, everything I've said so far was accomplished by the same guy!
